How should SIFA use any annual surplus?

Due to the success of our annual conference over the last few years, SIFA has generated a surplus. With SIFA at a point that we probably have enough funds for any 'rainy' day scenario's, we are looking for ideas on how we might use potential future surplus to the benefit of advisers. We have discussed things like sponsoring advisers in training, buying CPD training material and making conferences cheaper. No idea is a silly idea and we'd love to hear your thoughts?

I agree although wonder if such an event would serve as an alternative to attending the dinner for some. Not that might not be a bad thing as two smaller groups could be better for connecting.

Welcome to the SIFA Forum

We are introducing a forum to the website to create an online collegial space for SIFA members.

My understanding was that when SIFA was started and was still small, some of the greatest value members got was to meet and discuss things like how they were dealing with compliance, systems and succession planning type issues, and the development day and conference provides this. This forum now provides you the opportunity to initiate discussion with other members and I hope you find this of value.
